Orchard Hike - Apple Picking at Five Fields Farm, South Bridgton, Maine

Five Fields Farm - Gyger Orchards

Cross-country skiing has been part of Five Fields Farm for a decade. Our apple operation is smaller now and we enjoy sharing our location with others in the winter season. An elevation of 850 feet places us on the right side of the "snow line". When it snows in the foothills of the White Mountains, we usually have to shovel. Parking is where we formerly loaded trucks of fruit. Prepare for your outing or warm up in our winterized retail stand. We have rental equipment in all sizes including snowshoes. The trail system starts on our back lawn, and totals 27 K. Looping around the orchards, it connects with the logging roads, and links with lands owned by abutters, including the Loon Echo Land Trust on Bald Pate Mountain.
